Chilled Tomato Soup with a hint of Chevin paired with the Rhinofields Sauvignon Blanc
The zesty flavour of the tomato soup worked well with the goats cheese – the perfect partner to Sauvignon Blanc.
Smoked Salmon Trout Pate with Lemon Zest paired with Rhinofields Chardonnay
The chardonnay has a super fresh palate which is infused with a hint of zesty citrus, peach, dried apricots and butterscotch complimented the rich, creamy smoked salmon trout pate.
GOLDEN TIP: When having smoked fish for dinner, pair it with a medium to full-bodied weight wine as smoked fish tends to be more oily.
Bresaola, Black Olive Paste and Mediterranean Pesto paired with Rhinofields Merlot
The Rhinofields Merlot is an easy drinking red wine with rich aromas of berry fruit and hints of mint and oak. It’s juicy. dark fruit bouquet worked its magic when we paired it with the distinctive sweet and musty aroma of the air-dried beef.
Mature Cheddar and Caramelised Onion Relish paired with Rhinofields Pinotage
This is a very concentrated and densely flavoured wine packed with fruit and spicy wood textures. The pairing with the cheese with a touch of caramelised onion relish and the bold red wine was delightful.
Moroccan-spiced Hummus and Prosciutto paired with Rhinofields Shiraz
The full-bodied Shiraz is ideal to pair with red meat, poultry and game, but also excellent with foods that display some sweetness. The distinctive sweet flavour of the prosciutto worked excellent with this delicious red wine.
Peach Cheesecake paired with Rhinofields Noble Late Harvest
This dessert wine is an absolute winner. The flavours include honeycomb, apricot and citrus – absolute heaven. The creamy cheesecake had a deliciously rich texture which worked wonderfully with the wine. An absolute must for any foodie fanatic.
