London - Testosterone jabs can reduce a man’s waist size and boost libido, according to a new study.

Overweight men who were given the hormone lost an average 3in from their waist and just over a stone in weight after five years.

The hormone was given as three injections over three months.

Results from the 250 men — who were all overweight or obese and had a testosterone deficiency — suggested the treatment was also linked to lower blood pressure and improved erectile function (there was no comparison group).

Researchers at Dresden International University think testosterone may affect body composition, because it’s involved in how carbohydrates and fat are processed. A deficiency may also lead to loss of muscle. - Daily Mail
