Durban - Couples normally walk in two by two but a pair who tied the knot on Friday entered their wedding venue one by one.

The security doors at the bank wouldn’t have it any other way.

Jessica Payne and Tony Aub were probably the first couple ever to exchange vows in a bank.

“We were planning to just go in and do the signing,” said the radiant bride.

The bank, where Aub is a financial planner, decided they should rather do it in style .

Selven Thaber, an executive member of the SA Hindu Mahasabha and a veteran client of the branch, officiated.

Business went on as usual at the front while staff and family witnessed the ceremony in a back office where there was a wedding cake and scattered rose petals.

During the brief ritual the mood swung from money to matrimony before the wedding party headed off to a restaurant at uShaka Sea World.
