London - Seems dating in the social media age is not all it is cracked up to be. Naya Rivera has told of how she met now ex-fiancé Big Sean over Twitter in a new magazine article released the same week the pair called it quits on their whirlwind relationship.

The 27-year-old star posed in a sexy new spread for DA MAN magazine and talked about her then husband-to-be.

The Glee star said social media played a big part in their relationship: “I actually started following him on Twitter and I mentioned that I was a big fan.

“Then some fans started to alert him that I was following him. His assistant happens to be a big fan of Glee, knows my character on the show and knows who I am. So Big Sean became curious and started to ask who I was.

“A date was set, and it all just happened from there.”

While Naya claims they are just like any other couple, the pair, of course, was very serious very fast, getting engaged in October after just six months of dating.

The actress said: “The way our relationship blossomed is like any other relationship. We went on a date and we enjoyed each other’s company. We went on another and another, and it developed like any normal relationship.”

However, Naya – who smoulders in a black and white shoot titled “Not The Girl Next Door” – and Sean’s breakup has been anything but normal.

The couple played out their split on the forum on which they met – Twitter.

With their thousands of fans looking on, the loved up musical couple – the Glee star released a song about Sean’s exes featuring the rapper – imploded nastily.

Naya took to Twitter to accuse her former fiancé – whose real name is Sean Anderson – of stealing from her.

In a tweet which has been deleted, but obtained by TMZ, she wrote: “@bigsean stealing rolexes from a lady’s house now. Maybe cuz I’m on Glee and making more money or something. #triflin.”

The rapper’s representative told Us Weekly that it was Sean’s decision to end the engagement and denied recent reports in Star magazine that he cheated on her.

His rep said: “After careful thought and much consideration, Sean has made the difficult decision to call the wedding off.

“The recent rumours and accusations reported by so-called or fake sources are simply untrue.”

While he didn’t reveal the current status of their relationship, the rep alluded to some “issues”, but added Sean hoped to work them out.

The rep added: “Sean wishes Naya nothing but the best and it is still his hope that they can continue to work through their issues privately. We will not be commenting again on this matter.” – Daily Mail
