Let’s talk about sex

Cape Town - From bank robber, to club owner, to reality TV star to politician – and now he is a love guru.

Gayton McKenzie’s new book The Uncomfortable Truth has been flying off the shelves since its release two weeks ago.

The-ex president of the Patriotic Alliance has now made it his mission to empower women by giving them the truth.

“I want to say to women you can find someone and you can make anyone love you,” says McKenzie.

“My book tells women what their mothers are too scared to tell them.

“It talks about everything from anal sex to threesomes,” he says.

McKenzie says he wrote the book for his five-year-old and his two three-year-old daughters.

Accident

“I was involved in a car accident [in 2011] where I nearly died,” he says.

“It got me thinking that I don’t want to just leave my children with money, I want to leave something important.

“I started writing letters to them,” he says.

A friend who he showed the letters to suggested he turn it into a book.

Today, McKenzie brags that his latest book has outsold Oprah’s book and even Zelda le Grange’s Good Morning, Mr Mandela.

“I am not a love guru, I am the guy the love guru writes about,” he says.

“I owned night clubs and I have travelled around the world so I can give advice because I’ve seen all kinds of things,” he says.

McKenzie says one of the uncomfortable truths women should know is “no-one can steal your man”.

“No-one stole your man, he left you,” he says.

“If someone stole your man there will be a case number and criminal charges.

“Another mistake women make is staying for the sake of your children.

“You are lying to yourself.

“You are causing more damage by staying.

“The most uncomfortable truth: Stop blaming yourself if your man cheated on you,” he says.

“A cheater doesn’t need a reason to cheat.

“He will cheat on you with a broomstick if it comes with a vagina,” he says.

McKenzie admits the book has been written by a guy who has been a player all his life.

“No man can cheat on you if you read this book,” he says.

McKenzie also says his book should not be compared to Steve Harvey’s Act Like A Lady, Think Like A Man.

Rule

“Steve Harvey’s book is about the 90-day [no sex] rule,” he says.

“If you meet a player like Kenny [Kunene] and myself and you say you want to wait 90 days [before having sex], I will tell you I’ll wait.

“Meanwhile I’m getting my groove on [with someone else] and after 90 days I will come back to you.

“Dan is ek vol gevreet by iemand anders [Then I have had my full with someone else].” he says.

McKenzie admits his no-nonsense book will be uncomfortable for some women.

He even gave a breakdown on the different types of women in bed.

“There are four types of women,” he says.

“First there is the bus driver – this woman who does the same thing [in bed] every day.

“Then there is the crime victim – the woman who just lays in bed like she is dead or shot in the head, no excitement.

“There’s the student – she doesn’t know much but she is willing to learn.

“Lastly there is the professional – the one who rocks your boat, she will swing from the chandelier.

“Every guy wants a professional,” he says.

He says there is one thing men don’t want women to know...

“The only way to know that your man is not a player is if he is scared to lose you,” McKenzie says.
