London - Parenthood leads to arguments over lack of sex, a recent study has suggested – with mothers by far the most likely to become fed up with being asked to make love.

It found that “among parents there is dissatisfaction about the frequency of sex in their relationship”.

The survey asked men and women if “my partner wants to have sex more often than I do”.

Four out of 10 mothers agreed, and nearly one in 10 said they “strongly agreed”.

By contrast, only one in 10 fathers said their partner asked them for sex too often.

But the disagreements did not necessarily lead to strife, the researchers found.

“While previous research has shown a correlation between relationship and sexual frequency satisfaction, this was not borne out in our data,” they said. “The vast majority indicated a high degree of happiness with their life, relationship and partner.” – Daily Mail
