London - Mothers-to-be have enough on their plate without finding new things to worry about.

But now it seems that nearly three-quarters of expectant mothers feel immense pressure to look good because of the high standards set by celebrity “yummy mommies”.

High-profile women who are having babies this year include the Duchess of Cambridge and reality TV star Kim Kardashian.

The poll of 1 000 new mothers and mothers-to-be also found that four in five can’t help but worry that they are not dressing well enough.

Most were more apprehensive about suffering stretch marks and changes to their bodies than the cost of raising their child.

Breast feeding and the effects on their relationship were happily not a major worry.

Many embrace their pregnancy shape, with more than half putting photos of their expanding bumps on Facebook.
