Durban – Want a perfect round butt like J.Lo, Beyoncé or Sofia Vergara? You’ve tried squats and lunges, but you just can’t get that perfect-shaped behind?

Worry no more, because the days of you envying women blessed with curvy butts will soon be a thing of the past, thanks to the latest cosmetic product to hit the market.

The butt enhancer, which has hidden padded inserts, allows women to fake the butt they want whenever they want it.

The enhancer comes in beige and black, and gives women an instant butt and curves without them having to endure gruelling workouts or go under the knife.

It also promises to end flat-butt syndrome. Sizes range from small to extra large.

A local seller said the enhancer allowed you to “comfortably wear your clothes without worrying about a saggy behind”.

It is one of many body-enhancement products available on the market for women.

Another item that has taken the country by storm is the waist trainer, a corset-like device worn for hours at a time to compress the stomach and supposedly give you that coveted hour-glass figure.

The waist-cinching corset – labelled the answer to tummy fat, love-handles and post-pregnancy fat – is popular with Kim Kardashian, Beyoncé and Jessica Alba.

Doctors have, however, spoken out against the corset, saying that constricting garments can be dangerous to women’s health because they make it difficult to breathe and damage ribs.

However, local seller Kedibone Mkhabela dismissed this.

“Contrary to popular belief, waist training doesn’t break ribs or rearrange your insides.

“You are always in control of how tight or loose or comfortable your trainer is. The corset trainers have a zip and strings, while the latex one has hooks to control how comfortable it is,” she said.

But Mkhabela, a presenter and singer, said people needed to understand that waist trainers were not miracle workers.

“You need to be disciplined and follow our recommendations for them to work.”
