Cape Town - A service has launched nationally that will give women a central point of control to manage their offline beauty needs, online.

GoBeauty aims to take the beauty industry into the 21st century by transforming the way we book beauty treatments and discover beauty products, making it effortless for everyone: customers, salons and beauty brands.

Hosted on the WeChat platform, GoBeauty is a mobile portal to beauty and wellness treatments and allows users to discover personalised beauty products.

Today booking a spa or salon appointment seems like more work than it should be. You pick up the phone only to find it engaged or unanswered. Then comes negotiating with the receptionist through the available appointments to find one that suits.

Today's women are all too familiar with the lack of privacy available to book and query beauty appointments during office hours or book an appointment at a time that is convenient for them. Women want to be able to book their appointments when and where they want and often at the last minute.

In addition, GoBeauty gives you a personalised product recommendation, the first platform in South Africa to do so, and in a fun, interactive way. Very simply, it is a new form of engagement where consumers can "chat" about their beauty solutions and concerns, and get matched with suitable products including skin care, body products, hair care and makeup.

Users can sign up for the service by downloading WeChat and following the GoBeauty Official Account with the WeChat ID: GoBeautySA. You can browse spas and beauty places on the map throughout South Africa and request your appointments directly.
