London - The shoulder pads and big hair are long gone. But at 74, Linda Gray looks barely a day older since her days of playing Sue Ellen on Dallas.

The American actress impressed her hosts as she appeared on ITV’s Loose Women – more than two decades since her US soap heyday.

Laughing off questions about the secret of her glossy hair and youthful skin, she joked: “I’ve had a facelift.” But Gray, who portrayed the alcoholic wife of devious oilman JR Ewing in the 1980s, puts her glowing good looks down to a healthy lifestyle.

She confirmed that she walks regularly and has spoken of her aversion to “fad things or diets”.

She said: “If you have a delicious piece of bread and you want it, then have it. But don’t have it every day. It is not about being thin. It is about staying healthy and fit. I need to live a long time to fulfil all the things I want to do. I want to be walking around at 90.”

The mother of two, who appeared in Dallas from 1978 to 1991 and reprised her role in the series’ three-season remake from 2012 to this year, is making her Christmas pantomime debut in London this year. – Daily Mail
