Which dry shampoo should you choose?

London - Dry shampoo has become a beauty must-have, with sales now accounting for more than a fifth of all shampoo sales in the UK. But are you buying the right one for your hair?

Believe it or not, there are two types of dry shampoo: heavy, dusty ones that deal with oily roots; and lighter, clearer sprays that add volume.

The difference doesn’t tend to be obvious on cans, so how do you tell which is which?

The clues are in the ingredients’ list.

If alcohol is close to the start of the list, it’s for giving volume to fine hair.

If cyclodextrin or anything with the word starch is listed before alcohol, then it will be heavier on the powder and absorb more oil. - Daily Mail
