Fashion designers for Miss SA are hard at work creating garments for the finalists.

The finalists will wear Heni Este-Hijzen, Ian West, JJ Schoeman, Paul van Zyl, Haroun Hansrot, Gert-Johan Coetzee, Francois Vedemme, Gabi Rosenwerth and Gideon, and swimwear by Dax Martin, casual wear by Cameroon, shoes by Europa Art and watches by JetSet.

For the opening sequence of the pageant, Este-Hijzen has designed a bold collection of prints with an African twist. Martin displays his special collection of double-strap bikinis.

The In the Pink glitzy cocktail-wear sequence features designs by Vedemme, Coetzee, Hansrot and Gideon, while the fairy-tale fantasy and daring heroine evening-wear sequence features collections by Schoeman, West, Van Zyl and Rosenwerth.

Coetzee has had his dresses worn by A-list celebrities Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian on the Hollywood red carpet, and Gideon has won just about all of the major South African fashion accolades.

Vedemme has provided gowns for Miss SA and Miss Earth pageants, while Hansrot’s clothes have been worn by Miss World contestants.

Este-Hujzen recently made his debut at London Fashion Week as part of the Ubuntu International Project.
