Clarens, the quaint Free State town known for its thriving cultural scene will receive a radical transformation this weekend when BMW Motorrad Days lands in South Africa for the first time.

From Friday to Sunday this music and motorcycle festival will infuse the vibe and energy of all things motorcycling into Clarens’ streets, shops, restaurants and town square.

A diverse programme of events and activities will ensure that everyone – from seasoned bikers to the novice enthusiasts or anyone keen for a great weekend away – is entertained.

While this is a BMW Motorrad event, it is open to all motorcycle enthusiasts no matter what brand of bike they ride.

Motorrad Days will feature everything from live motorcycle stunt shows to a variety of riding activities. People who want to experience BMW’s motorcycles will have the opportunity to sign up for a day-trip test ride.

Festival-goers will also be treated to freestyle performances by world-renowned stunt rider, Mattie Griffin.

In between all the motorcycle buzz, there will be a host of craft beer gardens and gourmet food stalls on offer. The music line up includes CrashCarBurn, Die Heuwels Fantasties, Mean Mr Mustard, Ard Matthews (from Just Jinjer fame) and DJ Bon Tempo.
