London, England - Smoking in a car ranks as the most irritating habit to annoy fellow passengers, a survey has showed.

For 32 percent of those polled by YouGov, smoking was the most aggravating, followed by 18 percent who are driven mad by "backseat driving".

The next 12 percent loathed passengers who broke wiknd, burped or picked their noses.

Two percent were enraged by passengers who wanted to listen to "The Archers", a long-running BBC radio series about country life.

The survey was commissioned by craigslist.org, an online noticeboard used by more than 250 000 people to arrange ride-shares. - Reuters
