BMW will be displaying a 4 Series coupé at the upcoming Frankfurt motor show fitted with a range of M Performance aftermarket parts developed specifically for the new two-door.

There are M Performance Power Kits for the 420d (+12Kw, +40Nm), 430d (+20kW, +40Nm) and BMW 435i (+25kW, +50Nm) that the M skunk works claims don't affect either fuel consumption or exhaust emission levels, as well as an M Performance auspuff for the 428i and 435i, with end caps in chrome or carbon fibre.

More radical (read expensive!) upgrades include a limited-slip differential, sports suspension, high-performance brakes with red, yellow or orange calipers and 20" forged rims in two designs as well as the signature M Performance grey with burnished spoke fronts.

You'll also be able to make your 4 Series look special with a black grid for the Kidney grille, a diffuser insert for the rear apron, side sill foils with the M Performance logo, M Performance side stripes, and carbon front splitters, mirror housings and rear spoiler.

And you can give the cabin that track-day ambience with a sports steering wheel featuring a red central marking or a race display in the 12 o'clock position, as well as carbon-fibre gear lever and handbrake handle with alcantara gaiter.

There's also a carbon-finished gear selector switch for automatic-transmission models, along with trim elements in carbon fibre and alcantara, stainless-steel pedals, a special driver footrest and M Performance floor mats, all tailored specifically for the 4 Series.
