We'd be surprised if Fiat's new FCC4 concept car gets people shouting “build it!”

If nothing else, Fiat is sure to cause a stir with it at the Sao Paulo motor show this week, but the jury's out on whether it'll be an approving kind of stir.

Developed by Fiat's Brazilian design centre, the FCC4 intends to be a four-door coupé with an adventurous spirit. That long tail makes it look a bit like a pick-up in profile, but it is a rather brave and striking shape that won't go unnoticed on the streets.

We're not so sure about the front end though, with its 'double decker' lighting arrangement that seemingly took the basic design blueprint of the Jeep Cherokee and Nissan Juke and made it look… errr… even less appealing, perhaps.

The concept car measures five metres in length and is just under two metres wide, but Fiat would not divulge any other technical details, like what's under the bonnet. Hopefully they've pinched a Hemi V8 from Chrylser.
