Utrecht - It hasn't even been revealed yet, officially, but Jaguar's first-ever SUV will be making an appearance as a support vehicle during the first stage of this year's Tour de France this Saturday.

Granted, Jaguar isn't taking all the tape off this F-Pace prototype but as you can see in the pictures above, its light disguise leaves very little to the imagination.

The visual puzzle is almost complete, then, given that Jaguar previously released a teaser shot showing its F-Type-like taillights and then there was the C-X17 Concept that already gave most of the game away back in September 2013.

All the official facts are still to follow, but Jag's design director Ian Callum certainly got our hopes up by describing it as something of a family sportscar.

“It will encapsulate everything that Jaguar stands for - beautiful design, precise handling, a supple ride, luxurious interior finishes and cutting-edge technology,” Callum enthused.

Expect the F-Pace to be built around Jaguar's new lightweight aluminium-intensive architecture, with power coming from a range of advanced 'Ingenium' 2-litre turbocharged petrol and diesel engines, with top versions likely powered by V6 twin-turbodiesel and supercharged petrol engines.
