According to Nissan UK, this is how the Dark Knight rises - in a special one-off Nissan Juke Nismo, built to celebrate the release of the third film in Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy on DVD and Blu-Ray today (3 December).

It's based on the new Juke Nismo (not yet confirmed for South African release) with the 147kW, 1.6-litre turbocharged engine and six-speed manual gearbox - giving it a 0-100 time of 7.8 seconds - as well as a Nismo bodykit, uprated suspension and enhanced interior.

But it also has a host of Batman-inspired details, starting with matt black paint, reminiscent of Batman's Tumbler, and a shark-fin antenna in place of the standard car's conventional aerial.

There are aluminium bat badges on the grille and tailgate, red detailing on the special gloss black 18” rims that matches the pinstripe on the bumpers and sills.

BAT LOGOS

You'll find more bat logos on the kickplates and reflective Bat badges on the headrests of the suede-trimmed Nismo sports seats - and downlighters under the door mirrors throw the famous bat signal on to the ground under the doors, while a special uplighter projects the same signal onto the black headlining inside.

The Dark Knight Juke Nismo came out of Nissan's own Batcave - the Paddington studios of Nissan Design Europe, the same studio responsible for the design of the original Juke.

However this unique car won't be for sale in a Nissan dealership, nor will it be made available to the highest bidder - it's the prize in an online-only Thrill Test, that runs until runs until 28 February 2013, with the winner to be announced early in March.
