Frankfurt - Volkswagen will be pulling the covers off its all-new Tiguan at the Frankfurt motor show on Tuesday, and these official teaser sketches give us an accurate depiction of the new Rav4 rival.
While the exterior design keeps things neat, simple and evolutionary (what VW doesn't these days) this is an all-new vehicle.
While the technical details are still under wraps for now, we can practically say for certain that the new Tiguan has migrated onto VW's weight-saving MQB platform that also underpins the latest Golf and Passat.
It will certainly shed a few kilos then, despite the expected increase in size, making lighter work for the latest-generation TSI and TDI engines that will power the vehicle.
