London, England - A court hearing over Formula 1's intellectual property theft row was cancelled this week, after McLaren's chief designer Mike Coughlan agreed to reveal how he obtained confidential Ferrari technical information.

But the case is far from closed, with Nigel Stepney (recently sacked by Ferrari for allegedly handing over the documents to Coughlan) facing a tribunal in Italy. Both men strongly deny any wrongdoing.

Meanwhile motorsport's governing body, the FIA, is carrying out stringent investigations into McLaren's race car to see if it uses any Ferrari-developed technology. McLaren boss Ron Dennis is confident that his team has nothing to hide. - Reuters
