Insane twin-turbo Ferrari 458

Kevin Howeth and his brother KC are, to put it mildly, an avid bunch of enthusiasts who own a tuning company in the United States and they have this habit of strapping twin-turbochargers to supercars that are already insanely powerful.

Insane is a word that seems to stick here - though not necessarily in a bad way. You see, the brothers of Underground Racing recently test drove the all-new Ferrari 458 Italia and came to the conclusion that "there was something missing".

Tempting as it is to say that something is a screw or a bolt in their heads - considering the 458 already gets from 0-100km/h in 3.4 seconds - bear in mind that these lucky guys drive twin-turbocharged Lamborghinis and Ferrari F430s on a daily basis so they are used to blinding acceleration.

Little surprise then that Underground Racing has developed the Twin Turbo Ferrari 458 Italia.

Although the company has released pictures of the car and some information about it, they have yet to divulge any specific engine or performance data.

Needless to say, the Italian beast's 4.5-litre V8 will produce significantly more than the 419kW and 540Nm outputs it makes do with in standard form.

According to Keith, a Stage 1 conversion will get you a twin turbo system mated to a stock engine, while Stage 2 will entail a built engine with twin turbos.
