Jay Leno to launch new TV car show

New York - CNBC is returning Jay Leno to nightly television.

The new show, tentatively titled “Jay Leno's Garage” and based on his Emmy Award-winning Web series, will premiere in 2015, the network announced Wednesday.

CNBC didn't specify a debut date, or the frequency of the prime-time show's airing.

The show will be a forum for Leno to share his passion for “all things automotive,” the network said, including the inner workings of the car collector's market.

Leno said it will be about “anything that rolls, explodes and makes noise.”
