Johannesburg - Gauteng premier David Makhura is due to meet key players and the public on Friday to discuss the Gauteng Freeway Improvement Project and e-tolls.
Makhura's spokeswoman Nino Zama said he planned to discuss a report by the advisory panel set up to assess the GFIP and e-tolling's socio-economic impact.
“Makhura earlier in January announced that he would in February, convene a consultative meeting with all the stakeholders that made submissions to the panel, to consider all the recommendations and their full implications, including the best funding model,” shesaid.
The meeting would take place at the Gallagher Convention Centre in Midrand at 9am on Friday, she added.
E-tolling was implemented on Gauteng highways in December 2013, following several court challenges to halt the project.
