Zurich - A Swiss driver caused a serious accident when he accidentally swallowed a cough drop, police reported Tuesday.
The 45-year old man was driving in Lenzburg, near Zurich, on Monday when the drop got caught in his airway, caused a coughing fit and made him lose control of his vehicle.
His car rammed a metal post, collided with a wall, flipped over and eventually came to a halt upside down, 30 metres from the impact site.
The driver and his wife suffered only minor injuries. The car was destroyed, police said.
