The owner of a 1970 Buick is delighted to have recovered his stolen classic – despite it having missing parts.

The Daily News reported last week that Chris Palk had appealed to car buffs nationally for help in finding his left-hand drive vehicle.

Palk, of Gauteng, told the Daily News his car had been found in a complex in Pretoria.

“I got a phone call from someone saying they had spotted the car at this complex and I then informed police,” Palk said.

He said the vehicle had been hotwired, causing damage, and the radio was also missing.

“I’m grateful to have found my car. I couldn’t have found it without the help from the brotherhood of old car lovers.”

Palk said police had arrested a man at the complex in connection with the theft. – Daily News Reporter
