Durban - The Top Gear Festival has been confirmed to take place in Durban again next year, over the long weekend of June 13-14.

The previous three Durban shows have been very popular and drew over 190 000 spectators, and for the 2015 Festival there are some changes to make it even more spectator-friendly. The entire football pitch of the Moses Mabhida stadium will be tarred so that it can accommodate the street circuit which was previously held on the city’s roads. This means the entire show will take place in the stadium in a three-hour long visual spectacle.

“We’re going to be staging our biggest, most ambitious Top Gear Live stadium show ever,” says host Jeremy Clarkson.

“This incredible stadium performance, combined with an even more interactive, jam-packed Expo-Area, makes Top Gear Festival the premier event on the 2015 motoring events calendar”.

As before, the Festival will centre around a stunt show with Clarkson and his Top Gear cohorts, including the Stig, hooning around the stadium in all manner of motorised creations.

It will be complemented by car exhibits by leading manufacturers, as well as displays of Enduro-Cross, Karting, FMX and BMX.

Since 2008 Top Gear Live events have entertained over 2.1 million fans in 28 cities around the world.
