Ford's Focus is now officially the best selling vehicle in the world, according to 2012 new vehicle registration data released by Polk.
With more than a million units sold across the globe last year, the Focus beat Toyota's Corolla to the top spot by a healthy margin, largely due to a boom in Chinese sales of the C-segment Ford.
Ford had three vehicles in the top six, with the F-Series pick-up range taking third spot and the Fiesta in sixth position.
The VW Golf made a good showing in seventh and given that most of these sales would have been sixth-generation models, it'll be interesting to see whether the seventh generation can climb up the rankings this year.
