German tuner Väth, known for unleashing its insanity on many AMG products, has just brought out the SLS AMG Roadster’s darker side.

Not to be mistaken with any other of its kind, this Roadster makes a sinister visual statement with its black exterior paint, carbon fibre front apron, side skirts and rear spoiler as well as dark 20-inch alloy wheels.

The real party’s under the bonnet, however, where AMG’s 6.2-litre V8 has been tuned to thump out 515kW and 850Nm (up from 420kW and 650Nm).

This, according to Väth, improves the zero to 100km/h sprint time by 0.2 seconds, the upgraded Roadster now capable of this flattening this sprint in 3.6 seconds and reaching a top speed of 330km/h.

The big gains are mainly thanks to a supercharging kit, but other additions like a sports air filter and reworked ECU also contribute to its newfound zest, as does a stainless steel exhaust system.

The obligatory suspension and brake upgrades have also taken place, with stiffer springs enhancing agility and a high performance braking system ensuring it has the stopping power to match its extra urge.
