Derby, UK - The World Superbike Championship heads to the Donington Park circuit in England this weekend where Jonathan Rea will hope his home track advantage will help him to extend his already dominant points lead.

The Kawasaki rider has already scored wins in eight out of ten races so far this year, and goes into this Sunday’s heats with an 87 point advantage over his nearest challenger.

However, Rea is just one of four British riders heading up the Championship, as Leon Haslam (Aprilia), Tom Sykes (Kawasaki) and Chaz Davies (Ducati) occupy the next three points positions respectively.

Sykes, who sits in third with 127 points, is the most successful British rider at this track after only Carl Fogarty, and has won the past four races at Donington.

Jonathan Rea has only won one race here, back in 2012, and only because the leading BMWs of Haslam and Marco Melandri came together in the final corner.

Watch the Donington round live on Supersport 7 from 12.45pm on Sunday.
