Chang, Thailand - After a thrilling season opener at the Phillip Island circuit in Australia last month, the Superbike World Championship moves to the brand new Chang International circuit in Thailand this Sunday for the second outing of the year.

Two riders share the championship points lead with one win and a second place apiece in the two races that made up the opening round.

Former Honda teammates Leon Haslam (now with Aprilia) and Jonathan Rea (Kawasaki) had a successful start to their new adventures at Phillip Island as they immediately gelled with their new machines.

In the mix with both of them in Australia was Chaz Davies (Ducati), who had two podium finishes.

This weekend Davies will be joined once again by three-time WorldSBK champion Troy Bayliss, who substitutes for the injured Davide Giugliano.

Last year’s title contenders, the reigning Champion Sylvain Guintoli (Honda) and runner-up Tom Sykes (Kawasaki) will be aiming to bounce back to the front after a difficult opening round which saw both riders playing catch-up both to the leading trio as well as to their respective team-mates.
