Jakarta - Four suspected burglars were arrested after one of them left his BlackBerry phone in the house they reportedly broke into in the Indonesian capital, media reports said on Wednesday.

Following information retrieved from the device, police nabbed its owner and his three accomplices three days after they allegedly robbed a house in southern Jakarta, the Detik.com news portal reported.

“When in the act, the suspect dropped his BlackBerry,” South Jakarta police chief Indra Siregar was quoted as saying.

“After looking into the BlackBerry, we managed to arrest him in his house.”

Police also seized two bars of gold, a gold bracelet and eight $100 notes from the suspects, the report said. - Sapa-dpa
