Miami -

A man weighing 204 kilograms was caught with marijuana hidden under his belly fat by a drug-sniffing dog called in during a traffic stop, police in Florida said on Monday.

The 42-year-old passenger acted suspiciously when police stopped the driver near Orlando because the suspect was not wearing a seatbelt, a police spokesman said.

A dog searched the car and alerted authorities to the drugs.

Officers said they found 23 grams of marijuana in the folds of the suspect's stomach fat.

The suspect tried to mask the smell of the drugs with carpet freshener, police reported.

He and the driver were both arrested in the Friday incident. - Sapa-dpa
