A nun has given birth to a baby boy - calling him a “gift from God”.
Roxana Rodriguez, 33, at first claimed to have no idea she was pregnant and thought her labour pains were “stomach cramps”.
She has named the infant Francis, in honour of the current Pope, and intends to raise the child herself.
The new mother is reported as saying: “I am so happy. I feel more of a mother than a nun, I think that’s obvious. I do not feel guilt.”
She arrived in Italy last year from her native El Salvador and is alleged to have said the father is from her homeland. One nun said: “She has betrayed her vows.” - Daily Mail
