Harlan, Kentucky - Wanted by police in Kentucky: A fair-haired snow queen who’s not bothered by the extreme cold and who may be wreaking havoc on the weather.

Light-hearted officers from the Harlan police department posted a wanted notice on their Facebook page for the fictional character Queen Elsa of Arendelle from Disney's Oscar-winning animated movie Frozen.

“Suspect is a blonde female last seen wearing a long blue dress and is known to burst into song Let it Go!,” officers wrote.

“As you can see by the weather she is very dangerous. Do not attempt to apprehend her alone.”

A few minutes later, police posted another message saying that, all kidding aside, the weather had been dangerously cold and temperatures would continue to plummet.

Police didn't say if they'd tell Elsa to “freeze” in the event they apprehended her.

Much of the United States is in the grip of a fierce cold snap that has triggered record low temperatures.
