Kimberley - A man accused of manufacturing drugs appeared in the Mothibistad Magistrate's Court in the Northern Cape on Monday, the Hawks said.

The case against Victor Onyedikachi Maduike, 44, was postponed until next Monday for further investigation, Brigadier Hangwani Mulaudzi said in a statement. Maduike, who was arrested in Kuruman on Friday, remained in custody.

His arrested came after police raided a house and seized 550g of drugs with a street value of around R250 000.

“Apparently cat (the drug methcathinone) was also being manufactured inside the rented house,” Mulaudzi said.
