Durban - Another KwaZulu-Natal policeman has been shot while on duty.
Police said the constable was driving from Greytown to his base station in Rietvlei at 5pm on Sunday when gunmen in a Corsa opened fire on him.
He was taken to hospital and was in a stable condition on Sunday night.
Police were investigating a case of attempted murder. No arrests had been made.
A total of 79 police officers have been killed in South Africa since the beginning of the year.
