Johannesburg - Six robbers blew open an ATM in a supermarket in Booysens, Johannesburg, on Thursday morning, Gauteng police said.

The incident occurred at 5.45am, near the Booysens police station, Captain Tsekiso Mofokeng said.

“The personnel of a supermarket were busy opening the shop when the suspects held them at gunpoint outside the shop.”

Some of the robbers entered the shop.

“They bombed the machine and made off with an undisclosed amount of money,” said Mofokeng.

The group fled in a white BMW 3 Series. No one was injured and no arrests had been made. - Sapa
