Cape Town - The Big Brother TV drama could soon be a real-life court drama. A contestant who is accused of raping a fellow housemate might be taken to court by the producers of the reality show as well as the alleged victim.

Adams (Siyanda Ngwenya) allegedly raped Bexx (Axola Mbengo) after going to bed together after drinking alcohol on Saturday in the Big Brother Mzansi house in Joburg.

He later bragged that he had “dipped” her, but Bexx said she could not remember agreeing to have sex with him. The alleged incident was not shown on DStv channel 197 and 198, which broadcasts the reality show live.

On Wednesday, M-Net announced it had enlisted a law firm to independently investigate the incident.

M-Net chief executive Yolisa Phahle said: “It’s necessary for (us) to understand what transpired. And we will take necessary action, if required, once the investigation is concluded. I really do need to stress this point: we are not in possession of all the facts.

“We do have a lot of footage, which we are currently going through.”

Bexx left the house voluntarily, while Adams was booted out after being found guilty of misconduct.

The remaining contestants have had their alcohol allowance cut.
