Cape Town - The trial of three men accused of the murder of Bruno Bronn, owner of the gay night club The Bronx was delayed in the Western Cape High Court on Wednesday.
When proceedings resumed on Wednesday, before Judge President John Hlophe and assessor Jaco van Reenen, Carine Teunissen, for the State, told the court Fareez Allie, who had taken ill in Tuesday, was unable to attend the hearing.
At her request, the trial was postponed to Monday.
Hlophe told the other accused, John Frederick Coetzee and Achmat Toffa, that Allie's lawyer, Arno Nell, had given him a medical certificate in chambers and that he had no option but to postpone the case until Allie was well again.
The three have pleaded not guilty to charges of premeditated murder and robbery with aggravating circumstances.
Bronn was strangled in his Sea Point home on Monday night, February 12, 2012.
