Cape man held for dagga lab

Cape Town – Western Cape police arrested a 30-year-old suspect when they discovered a hydroponic dagga lab at a house in Kraaifontein on Tuesday.

Police spokesperson Constable Noloyiso Rwexana said: “This afternoon detectives from the WC Provincial Drug Unit responded to information of alleged illegal activity at a premises in Scottsdene, Kraaifontein.

“At approximately 2:30pm they entered a flat behind a Rembrandt Street residence where they found a hydroponic dagga lab in one of the rooms. Various items of equipment and numerous dagga plants of different sizes, valued at a substantial amount were seized. A 30-year-old man was arrested and is to appear in Kuilsriver Magistrates Court on Thursday 27 August.”
