Johannesburg – One woman was killed and two men were injured at the Tembisa taxi rank on Tuesday morning, during a shoot-out between two taxi associations over routes, police said.

“A lady was shot in the stomach and two men were shot in the arm,” spokesperson Warrant Officer Mahlodi Langa said.

Langa said the commuters were waiting in a queue to get into a taxi when they were shot.

The injured commuters were transported to the Tembisa Hospital to be treated.
