Bloemfontein -Free State police on Wednesday asked for help in identifying a man found dead in Welkom.
“We request anyone whose relative is missing or who might know the deceased to please come forward,” spokeswoman Molebogeng Lechesa said in a statement.
“Police tried all the necessary measures to trace and identify the body, but without success.”
The man's skeleton was found wrapped in a blanket at the Eland mine on July 8. He was believed to be a Lesotho national. The body was at the Welkom government mortuary.
