Durban - The High Court in Durban has ruled in favour of the EFF's provincial people's assembly (PPA) taking place over the weekend, the party said on Friday.

“The rebels (a breakaway group) had made an urgent court application to stop the PPA that is taking place over the weekend, arguing it is inconsistent with EFF guidelines and the constitution,” national spokesman Mbuyiseni Ndlozi said in a statement.

“The court ruled that it must be struck off the roll, and that the EFF KZN PPA must go ahead as planned.”

He said the court application was part of a broader plot to undermine and divide the party across the country.
