Tonga - A case against an Mpumalanga man accused of raping an 18-year-old boy was postponed on Wednesday for DNA test results to be presented to the Tonga Magistrate's Court.
The accused, 32, of Zibokwane village near the Swazi and Mozambican border, was not asked to enter a plea, a Sapa correspondent reported.
According to Tonga police spokesman Lieutenant Mzwandile Nyambi, the teenage victim was at a local supermarket in Zibokwane village when the man asked him to accompany him to his room.
“When they arrived at his room the teenager was offered some food and he ate. After he had finished eating he was pushed onto a bed, undressed and forced to take a penis into his mouth,” Nyambi said.
Nyambi said the teenager fought back by biting his attacker's penis and he managed to escape.
He reported the matter to the police and early last month, the man, who stays at a local church, was arrested and charged.
Magistrate Sibonisiwe Sibuyi postponed the case to December 10 for DNA test results to be made available in court. The man is out on R1000 bail.
