Johannesburg - A serial rapist was sentenced to eight life terms for eight rapes and 120 years for six robberies by the Vereeniging Regional Court on Thursday, Gauteng police said.
Klaas Mbiza was convicted of the crimes committed in Vlakfontein, De Deur, and Lenasia South, Lt-Col Lungelo Dlamini said.
Mbiza would grab women walking alone from behind and rape them. He then robbed them.
The crimes were committed between 2010 and 2012. Mbiza was arrested in Vereeniging on April 9 last year.
