Four held for Eastern Cape murder

Butterworth - Four people suspected of murdering a man were arrested in Ngqamakhwe, near Butterworth, Eastern Cape police said on Sunday.

The suspects, aged between 20 and 30, were arrested in the Pakade Village informal settlement in the early hours of Sunday morning, Captain Jackson Manatha said in a statement.

The 30-year-old man was killed in the settlement around midnight on Saturday. The motive was unknown.

The four would appear in the Ngqamakhwe Magistrate's Court on a charge of murder on Tuesday.
