Rustenburg – Four men were arrested in Letlhabile near Brits in connection with the death of another man in Marikana, North West police said on Wednesday.
Police spokesperson Sergeant Kealeboga Molale said the man was found dead on Tuesday morning, at Mmaditlhokwa in Marikana.
“According to the information, a passer-by saw a vehicle dropping the body of Tshepong Dilwane, 36, at the bushes at Mmaditlhokwa on Monday. He took the car’s registration number and alerted the police of the incident,” she said.
“The police came to the scene and could not find anything on that night. The Rustenburg Dog Unit members came to assist and the body was found with stab wounds on Tuesday morning. The vehicle was traced and was found parked at a house in Letlhabile were two suspects were found and arrested.”
The other two were arrested on Wednesday, after more leads were followed.
“The motive of the murder is unknown at this stage.”
Molale said the four people were expected to appear in the Marikana Magistrates’ Court soon.
