Port Elizabeth - Four men were arrested in Jansenville on Thursday for illegal possession of cycads with an estimated value of R170 000, Eastern Cape police said.
Twelve of the plants were found inside a red Ford bakkie with a Gauteng registration, when police pulled it over, said Constable Nadia Campher.
The four men, aged between 23 and 41, would appear in the Jansenville Magistrate's Court soon.
