Cape Town - More that three months have passed since Shasha-Lee November, 6, went missing from Hanover Park and her family and the community still carries hope that she is alive.

Shasha-Lee was last seen playing on Groenal Walk on May 3, wearing a white T-shirt, white shorts and green slippers.

Jasmine Harris, 27, Shasha-Lee’s older sister, said it’s been hard for her family not knowing where her younger sister is.

“It’s been a stressful time for us the past few months because we still haven’t found my little sister.”

Harris said they were praying that her sister would one day be found.

“We would be celebrating her seventh birthday next month but it’s going to be a very sad day for us.

“I truly miss her because she is the only sister I have; all we can do is hope and pray at this moment.”

Community leader, Ricardo Sedres, said they began looking for Shasha-Lee from the first day she went missing.

“After searching for a month with no leads and clues we gave up the search but we haven’t given up on her coming back,” he said.

Sedres said they received numerous tip-offs from people claiming they had seen her but, when they followed up the claims, had found nothing.

“All we can do as the community is hope and pray that we get new leads or she is found somehow.”

Police spokesman, Captain FC van Wyk said there were no new developments to report on her disappearance, but the investigation continued.

Meanwhile, as the family and community prays for a positive outcome, another young child has gone missing.

Five-year-old Angelique Joseph went missing on Monday from Wesbank, near Kuils River.

The Pink Ladies, an organisation that helps police search for missing children, said Angelique is tiny with brown eyes, dark hair, about 1m tall, and has four missing teeth.

She had been placed in foster care and was last seen in the company of a woman named Clarice Joseph.

The Pink Ladies were also helping to locate 17-year-old Jessica Mienies, who went missing on Women’s Day in Caledon.

Police said she was wearing blue jeans, light blue top and black shoes when she went missing. She is slim-built with very short dark hair.

Kelly Anne King, 13, from Hanover Park was last seen on August 12 in Newfield Village.

She was wearing a pink beanie, black hooded top, black tracksuit pants and grey Vans takkies.
