Rustenburg - The remains of a woman and a child were found in a shallow grave in Klipgat near Mabopane, North West police said on Wednesday.
Sergeant Kealeboga Molale said two men digging up a foundation to erect a shack found the remains in Ikageng section on Friday.
“The police and forensic anthropologists visited the scene yesterday (Tuesday) for further exhumation for forensic analysis. The remains will be analysed to determine if they are those of a woman and a child who used to live on the property and were reported missing in 2012,”she said.
“No one has been arrested at this stage, an investigation into the matter continues.”
